Accessibility is a hard principle to stand by because we've all been conditioned to be polite about money. By that I mean, we've been taught to not talk about it. For some reason, I still believe that through transparency and accountability we can each lend ourselves to a more accessible, equitable, (and ultimately more verdant) society.
Again, this is hard. Flowers are a perishable, luxury produce. But, Life's most memorable celebrations are often marked with an abundance of fresh flowers. I strive to make flowers attainable to those who may not otherwise be able to purchase them at full price. I do this by maintaining a pay-what-you-can option.
Here's how it works: a price range is suggested by the potential customer. From there, we have a free consultation in-person or on the phone. We'll go over what's possible and what might be challenging.
Before proceeding with a request to pay a reduced rate for Garden and Villa services, I ask you to consider the following for yourself.
🌸 How does your socio-economic standing (employment status, generational wealth, debt) affect your ability to access and pay for fresh flowers and professional floral design services?
🌸 How does your race, ethnicity, disability, orientation, or gender impact your ability to access and pay for fresh flowers and professional floral design services?
🌸 What does life honestly look like for you right now?
The pay-what-you-can program is subject to the same seasonal and scheduling availability as full-price products.
